Scrapped cover idea for issue #6
Scrapped cover for issue #5. Wanted the logo consistant.
Simone’s were always watching Power Rangers and I hated it.
Some kid in class asked me for a flyer to promote their band’s gig (Blunt Trauma - still remember that great band name).
I drew a custom flyer and then he asked to copy some more drawings. I gave him the folder and when I checked it later, he just had this cut off copy and left the original in the machine.
Scrapped (early) issue #6 cover idea
Scrapped page for Issue #7
Had the idea of ending issue #6 with some abstract drunken scene of Adam but scrapped it when this payoff was looking super emo and not at all what I was going for.
Abandoned issue #7 page
Depending on the edition I gave people, this page was sometimes in or sometimes out. I blame the leg proportions on looking at too much J. Scott Campbell art at the time. Maybe I created the first Na’vi. Also I was a teenager drawing a girl.
Abandoned page in issue #7. Seemed unnecessary and too on the nose for my Wolvie love.
Not just trying to look b.a. but was my feelings at the time. Mid 90’s, Marvel felt like a thing of the past and image was the future. We had moved onto greater things and my comic world was wider.
